    Details: Two outdoor pickleball courts lined on the basketball court. Open play available. For more information, visit City of West Sacramento Parks.
  • West Sacramento Recreation Center
    Address: 2801 Jefferson Blvd, West Sacramento, CA 95691
    Details: Indoor and outdoor courts. Indoor (gym) pickleball open play is available on Monday and Friday evenings (6:00 PM - 7:30 PM) and Saturday mornings (8:30 AM - 11:30 AM). Two outdoor courts on the tennis courts are available anytime during open tennis hours (6:30 AM - 9:30 PM) with a day pass. Nets and paddles can be checked out at the front desk.   • Southside Park (Nearby - Sacramento)
    Address: 6th and V Street, Sacramento, CA
    Details: Four permanent pickleball courts and one tennis court lined for two additional portable pickleball courts. Resurfaced with no cracks. Lights available until 10 PM. Popular playtimes include Tuesday & Thursday evenings (5:00 PM or 5:30 PM) and Sunday mornings (8:00 AM or 8:30 AM). Use Playtimescheduler to join games and find updates.

Visitors

West Sacramento welcomes visitors looking for pickleball opportunities. Bryte Park offers casual outdoor play, while the West Sacramento Recreation Center provides both indoor and outdoor options with flexible play schedules (you can buy a day pass). Just across the river, Southside Park in Sacramento offers a larger pickleball community with organized games and additional courts.

Lessons and Coaching

The West Sacramento Recreation Center has a friendly group that plays during scheduled gym times, welcoming new players and offering help to those just starting out. If you don't have your own paddle, the center provides paddles to borrow. While clinic dates are still being finalized, this group is a great resource for learning the game in the meantime. For updates on clinics, contact the Recreation Center directly and let them know you would like to see lessons scheduled.
